Day 2.....Adjusting?

Ok, so the drop off wasn't quite as smooth today as it was yesterday. From the second we pulled into the parking lot, he was looking at me with those, "I know what you're going to do to me" eyes! He clung onto my shirt and his teacher  had to pull him off of me while he was screaming, "Mama, Mama" at the top of his lungs....ugggg....so sad! But we both survived and I headed home for a "productive day cleaning".

I literally haven't had a day to myself since Noah was born 15 months ago, so I was super excited to be free on my day off to do anything that I wanted to do: paint my toe's, take a bath, clean the kitchen, etc....you name it, it was on my list for today! Do you know what I did all day.....WATCHED THE DAMN SECURITY CAMERA OF NOAH AT DAYCARE, no bath, no cleaning, and no toe painting, (what is wrong with me?)  When we were first introduced to this feature I thought it was amazing....wrong.....it's an evil way to torture nervous parents. I need to figure out how to block the website so I can't see it anymore! It was neat to see how he interacted, or rather didn't interact, with everyone else though. While all of the other toddlers played with the toys on their own, Noah did nothing but follow his teacher around like a little puppy! If she got up, Noah got up, if she walked across the room, so did my little man. I think I need to set up some more play-dates for him!

Picking him up wasn't quite the grand, "oh I missed you so much today mommy" reunion I had imagined either. I skipped excitedly into the room where he was playing and envisioned him running up to me and giving me a big hug. Instead, he looked at me turned in the other direction and continued to play with a plastic lion, (he did eventually bring the lion to me as a peace offering after crushing my vision)! His teacher said we was fussy on and off but displayed normal behavior for the first few days at the "academy", and then handed me his second masterpiece, a drawing of what was supossed to be the number 1, he's so talented!. The official report for the day read:

Mood: Okay
2 wet diapers
no poopy diapers....(adjusting to his new environment I guess!!)
1 two hour nap....once again on the cot!
and a paragraph that read: made hand prints (with paint) and traced the number one, please check my folder to see my artwork!       (so cute)

Onto day 3!
